This photo shows the interior and lighting of a cabinet, notice how the complete interior cabinet is finished with no exposed wiring. The inside is painted white to reflect light  for better face illumination.

This photo shows how corner keys are used to interlock the mitered joints on the face retainers, most others do not use corner keys.

This is a photo of a sign cabinet with a locking vandal cover. The outside clear face or cover is also framed with aluminum and the hinge for this cover is attached to the cabinet at the top. The inner white face has letter track installed for changeable letters. To access the bulbs one retainer can be removed from either of the two sides and slide the inside face partway out. If you look closely at the upper left corner of the white inside face you will notice the small overhang or notch on the back side across the top of the face, this is the hanging bar. The best way to describe the purpose of the hanging bar is, picture standing a piece of paper on its edge, it wants to sag, now hold it from the top edge and it will hang straight without sagging.
